Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups table salt or Epsom salt
- 2 cups water
- Various colors of food coloring
- Clear glass jars or containers
- Wooden sticks or skewers
- Paper towels for cleanup
- Optional: Glitter for added sparkle
Instructions
- Prepare Your Solution: In a bowl, mix 2 cups of salt with 2 cups of hot water and stir until the salt dissolves completely.
- Add Colors: Pour the salt solution into several jars and add food coloring, swirling gently.
- Set Up for Crystallization: Place a skewer across the top of each jar and leave in a warm area to evaporate.
- Check and Display: After 24 hours, check crystals and display once fully formed.
Notes
Experiment with Epsom salt for different textures and add glitter for sparkle.
