Ingredients

- 1 cup white school glue
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Liquid laundry detergent (or contact lens solution)
- Iron filings or magnetic powder
- Food coloring (optional)
- Mixing bowl
- Spoon or spatula for mixing
- Magnets (neodymium recommended)
Instructions
- Prepare the Glue Mixture: In a mixing bowl, pour 1 cup of white school glue. Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and stir until well combined.
- Add Color: If desired, mix in a few drops of food coloring until you achieve your preferred shade.
- Activate the Slime: Add liquid laundry detergent a little at a time (or contact lens solution) while continuously mixing. You’ll notice the slime starting to form.
- Add Iron Filings: Gradually mix in iron filings or magnetic powder until evenly distributed throughout the slime.
- Knead the Slime: Take the slime out of the bowl and knead it with your hands for a few minutes until smooth.
- Playtime!: Use magnets to explore the magnetic properties of the slime.
