Ingredients
- Clear plastic bottle or glass container
- Vegetable oil
- Water
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Alka-Seltzer tablets (or equivalent effervescent tablet)
- Optional: Glitter or small decorative items
- Funnel (optional, for easier pouring)
Instructions
- Clean the container to ensure it’s free from dust and residues.
- Pour water into the container until it’s about one-quarter full, using a funnel if necessary.
- Slowly add vegetable oil to the water until the container is about three-quarters full.
- Add a few drops of food coloring and observe how it forms droplets in the water.
- Break an Alka-Seltzer tablet into smaller pieces and drop them into your container.
- Place your new creation in a sunny window to enjoy the magical swirls of color!
Notes
Experiment with different colors and containers or add glitter for extra sparkle. Always supervise children during the crafting process.
