Description

Create stunning light-up crystal geodes, combining creativity and science in a fun and engaging craft project for all ages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons borax powder
  • 1/2 cup white glue (PVA glue)
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Clear plastic or glass containers
  • LED tealight candles
  • Mixing bowl
  • Stirring stick
  • Spoon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine one cup of warm water with three tablespoons of borax. Stir well until the borax is fully dissolved.
  2. In a separate container, mix half a cup of white glue with half a cup of warm water to form a paste.
  3. Gradually pour the glue mixture into the borax solution, stirring slowly.
  4. If desired, add drops of food coloring into the mixture and stir until evenly distributed.
  5. Carefully pour the mixture into your plastic or glass containers, ensuring they are not filled to the top.
  6. Set aside the containers in a warm spot for 24 hours to allow crystals to form.
  7. Once the crystals are fully formed, place an LED tealight candle underneath each container to illuminate your creations.

Notes

Experiment with different food coloring combinations and container shapes for unique designs. Use glitter or salt for alternative textures.
