Ingredients
- Glass or clear plastic containers (e.g., jars or bottles)
- Vegetable oil
- Water
- Food coloring (various colors)
- Alka-Seltzer tablets or effervescent tablets
- Glitter (optional)
- Small funnel (optional)
- Measuring cups
- Spoon for stirring
Instructions
- Prepare Your Container: Select a clean glass or clear plastic container and ensure it’s dry and free from any residues.
- Fill Your Container: Pour about 1/3 cup of water into the container and add a few drops of food coloring. Stir until colored to your liking.
- Add the Oil: Carefully pour vegetable oil into the container, filling it until about 2 inches from the top.
- Create the Lava Effect: Drop in half a fizzy Alka-Seltzer tablet and observe the bubbles creating a lava lamp effect.
- Add Optional Glitter: Sprinkle a little glitter on top for extra sparkle.
- Seal it Up: Optionally, seal the container with a lid if desired.
