Description

Learn how to create beautiful ice luminaries to illuminate your outdoor space during winter.

Ingredients

  • Water
  • Balloons (various sizes)
  • Natural decorations (e.g., pinecones, leaves, berries)
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • A large bowl or container for freezing
  • Scissors
  • Tealight or LED candles for illumination

Instructions

  1. Select your balloons and stretch them to ensure they can hold water.
  2. Fill the bottom of each balloon with decorations like pinecones or colorful berries.
  3. Pour water into each balloon, filling them about three-quarters full.
  4. Place the filled balloons in a bowl to catch spills and freeze overnight or for at least 6-8 hours.
  5. Once frozen, cut the balloons away carefully with scissors.
  6. Place a tealight or LED candle inside each ice structure and enjoy the glow!

Notes

For clearer ice, use distilled water. Customize by using different molds or adding seasonal decorations.
