Description
Delightful cake pops presented in ice cream cones, combining fun and creativity with a deliciously moist cake center.
Ingredients
- Cake mix (any flavor)
- Eggs (as per cake mix instructions)
- Vegetable oil (as per cake mix instructions)
- Water (as per cake mix instructions)
- Ice cream cones (wafer or cake cones)
- Frosting (store-bought or homemade)
- Chocolate melting wafers (white, milk, or dark chocolate)
- Sprinkles (various colors and shapes)
- Lollipop sticks
- Styrofoam block (for drying)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven according to the cake mix instructions.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Mix until smooth, then pour the batter into a greased cake pan. Bake for the time indicated on the box, then allow it to cool completely.
- Once cooled, crumble the cake into a large bowl using your hands. Add a few tablespoons of frosting to the crumbled cake and mix until it holds together but is not overly wet.
- Use a small scoop or your hands to form bite-sized balls of the cake mixture. Insert a lollipop stick into each ball, then place them in the fridge for about 30 minutes to set.
- Melt the chocolate wafers in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Dip the cake pops into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off.
- Place the dipped cake pops into ice cream cones. Immediately decorate with sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
- Stick the cones into a Styrofoam block to help them stand upright while the chocolate hardens completely.
