Make your own bouncy balls using simple materials. A fun and educational craft for all ages!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 tablespoon of white school glue
- 1 teaspoon of water
- 1/2 teaspoon of borax powder
- 1 tablespoon of corn starch
- Food coloring (optional)
- Mixing bowls
- Spoon for mixing
- Wax paper or parchment paper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of borax powder with 1/2 cup of warm water. Stir until fully dissolved.
- In a separate bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of white school glue with 1 teaspoon of water. Add a few drops of food coloring if desired and mix well.
- Stir in 1 tablespoon of corn starch to the glue mixture and mix thoroughly until a thick paste forms.
- Slowly pour the borax solution into the glue mixture, watching it clump together.
- Take it out and knead it with your hands until smooth and firm.
- Shape the mixture into a ball and place it on wax paper or parchment paper to dry for at least 20 minutes.
- Once set, test the bounce of your new bouncy ball!
Notes
Experiment with different colors, sizes, and materials. Consider using glitter for extra fun!
