Description
Create vibrant glowing pumpkin suncatchers to celebrate the spirit of fall and Halloween with this easy and fun craft project.
Ingredients
- Orange tissue paper
- Black construction paper
- Scissors
- Clear contact paper or transparent adhesive sheets
- A pencil
- Craft glue
- LED tealight candles (optional)
- String or ribbon for hanging
Instructions
- Draw or print out a pumpkin shape as a template and cut it out.
- Tear or cut the orange tissue paper into small pieces (1-2 inches) for your design.
- Lay the contact paper adhesive side up, place the pumpkin template on top, and glue the tissue paper pieces within the outline.
- Cut out shapes for eyes and a mouth from the black construction paper and glue them onto the pumpkin.
- Peel the top layer of the contact paper off to seal the pumpkin and cut around the shape, leaving a small border.
- Use string or ribbon to hang your suncatcher and consider placing an LED tealight candle behind it for a glowing effect.
Notes
Consider using different colors of tissue paper and experimenting with shapes like ghosts or bats for variations. A coat of Mod Podge can be used for added durability.
