Description

Create your own glow in the dark clay for fun and unique craft projects that shine at night.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of salt
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • Non-toxic glow-in-the-dark paint
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Airtight container for storage

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of salt. Stir well to ensure there are no clumps.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, and 1 tablespoon of baking powder. If desired, add a few drops of food coloring.
  3. Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until a dough forms.
  4. Dust your workspace with flour and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth and pliable.
  5. Mix in the non-toxic glow-in-the-dark paint until evenly distributed.
  6. Create different shapes or figures using cookie cutters or by molding by hand.
  7. Let your creations air dry on parchment paper for 24-48 hours or bake them at 200°F (93°C) for 30-60 minutes for a firmer result.

Notes

Customize your clay by mixing different hues or adding essential oils for scent.
