Description

Enjoy creating colorful fruit stress balls that provide a fun and therapeutic way to relieve stress.

Ingredients

  • Balloons (various colors)
  • Flour (or cornstarch for a gluten-free option)
  • Water
  • Funnel (or a piece of paper rolled up)
  • Permanent markers (for decorating)
  • Scissors
  • Bowl (for mixing)
  • Optional: essential oils (for added aroma)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Balloons
Choose your balloon color based on the fruit you want to create. Stretch the balloon a little by blowing it up and then letting the air out.
  2. Mix Your Filling
In a bowl, mix flour (or cornstarch) and water to create a smooth filling. Sensory Cue: Feel the texture change as you mix; it should be thick but pourable.
  3. Fill the Balloons
Use a funnel (or paper) to help pour the flour mixture into the balloon. Fill it until you reach your desired firmness, then tie off the balloon tightly. Key Action: Squeeze the filled balloon to feel the stress-relief properties kicking in!
  4. Decorate Your Stress Ball
Use permanent markers to draw faces or designs on the balloon. Create any fruit of your imagination—lemons, strawberries, or apples!
  5. Enjoy and Use
Squeeze your new stress ball whenever you feel tension. Place it on your desk or gift it to a friend!

Notes

Swap out flour with rice or beans for different textures. Use food coloring for vibrant colors. Add essential oils for a calming scent. Mini stress balls can be made with smaller balloons.
