Description

A delightful project for creating personalized clay conversation hearts perfect for gifts and decor.

Ingredients

  • Air-dry clay (white or colored)
  • Acrylic paints (various colors)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Heart-shaped cookie cutter
  • Toothpick or small sculpting tool
  • Parchment paper or a non-stick surface
  • Clear sealant spray (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down parchment paper and gathering materials.
  2. Tear off a section of clay, knead until smooth, and roll to ¼ inch thickness. Cut out heart shapes with the cookie cutter.
  3. Use a toothpick to create messages or patterns while the clay is soft.
  4. Allow hearts to air-dry for 24-48 hours until hardened.
  5. Paint the dried hearts with acrylic paints and let dry.
  6. Optionally, apply a clear sealant spray and let it dry completely before handling.

Notes

Consider using polymer clay for more durable hearts. Customize with glitter for a festive touch.
