Description

Learn how to create beautiful and eco-friendly bioplastic suncatchers using simple natural ingredients. This fun craft project is perfect for all ages and promotes sustainability!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of corn syrup
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Wax paper
  • A saucepan
  • A spoon for stirring
  • Cookie cutters (optional)
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and water, stirring until smooth.
  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and continuously stir for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  3. Once gel-like, remove from heat and add corn syrup, stirring for another minute.
  4. If desired, mix in food coloring until evenly distributed.
  5. Spread the mixture on wax paper to form desired shapes and thickness, using cookie cutters if desired.
  6. Allow to dry for 24-48 hours in a warm, dry place, then peel off the wax paper.
  7. Hang your suncatchers in a sunny window to enjoy the beautiful designs.

Notes
