Description

Make an adorable sock snowman with minimal materials for a fun winter craft project.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large white sock
  • 1 smaller colored sock (for the hat)
  • Rice or stuffing (for filling the snowman)
  • Rubber bands or string
  • Scissors
  • Black buttons or beads (for eyes)
  • Small fabric or felt pieces (for a scarf and buttons)
  • Glue (optional)

Instructions

  1. Fill the large white sock with rice or stuffing until it’s about the size of a medium snowball. Secure the top of the sock with a rubber band or string to form the head.
  2. Take the smaller sock and cut it to use as a hat. Place it on top of the larger filled sock and secure it with additional rubber bands if needed.
  3. Use black buttons or beads to create the snowman’s eyes. Cut small shapes from fabric or felt for the snowman’s nose (a small orange piece works well) and buttons.
  4. Add a colorful scarf around the neck by folding a small strip of fabric and tying it around the snowman. Feel free to use any leftover sock material or fabric for more accessories.

Notes

Consider using different sock colors and patterns for a whimsical variety. Feel free to add pipe cleaners or twigs as arms for a playful touch.
