Description

Create a delightful jellyfish suncatcher that adds a splash of color and creativity to any window. This fun art project is perfect for all ages.


Ingredients

  • Clear plastic lids or sheets (from takeout containers or recycling)
  • Gelatin (clear or colored)
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Scissors
  • String or fishing line
  • Hole punch
  • Paintbrush (optional for detailing)
  • Googly eyes (for added character)
  • Glitter (for a sparkling effect, optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the gelatin according to package instructions and add food coloring if desired.
  2. Pour gelatin into molds made from plastic lids, filling halfway.
  3. Add texture with a paintbrush or sprinkle glitter before gelatin sets.
  4. Insert lengths of string or fishing line for tentacles.
  5. Refrigerate molds until gelatin is completely firm.
  6. Resume jellyfish shapes from molds and add googly eyes.
  7. Punch holes at the top of each jellyfish for hanging.
  8. Choose a window to hang your jellyfish and admire the display.
