Description

A delightful and creative craft project for making a charming clay owl, perfect for all ages.

Ingredients

  • Air-dry clay or oven-bake clay
  • Acrylic paint (various colors)
  • Paintbrushes
  • Sculpting tools or a toothpick
  • Water for smoothing
  • Rolling pin (optional for flattening)
  • Googly eyes or small beads (for embellishments)
  • Clear sealant (optional, for final touch)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the clay by kneading it until soft and pliable.
  2. Form the body by rolling a large ball and shaping it into an oval.
  3. Create the head and features by rolling a smaller ball for the head, attaching it to the body, and pinching the top for ears.
  4. Add wings and feet with two teardrop shapes for wings and small pieces for feet.
  5. Finalize the owl by smoothing edges with water and letting it dry or bake as instructed.
  6. Once dry, paint your owl and attach googly eyes for decoration.

Notes

Experiment with different colors and textures. You can reshape the clay while wet if needed.
