Description

A simple and safe recipe to make homemade playdough, providing endless possibilities for imaginative play.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Essential oils (optional for scent)

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, mix together the flour, salt, and cream of tartar until well combined.
  2. Pour in the water and vegetable oil. Stir until the mixture is smooth and lump-free.
  3. Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously for 3-5 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Once the dough forms into a ball and no longer sticks to the pan, remove it from heat. Let it cool slightly, then knead it until smooth.
  5. If desired, divide the dough into portions to add food coloring and essential oils for fragrance.
