- 2 cups fruit puree (e.g., applesauce, mashed bananas, blended berries)
- 1 packet Kool-Aid drink mix (any flavor)
- 2 cups sugar (or less, to taste)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Parchment paper
- Baking sheet
- Blender or food processor
- Spatula
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 170°F (77°C).
- In a blender or food processor, combine the fruit puree, Kool-Aid drink mix, sugar, and lemon juice. Blend until well combined and smooth.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour the blended mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it evenly, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 4 to 6 hours, or until the mixture is no longer sticky to the touch.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Use scissors to cut into strips or desired shapes.
- Roll up the strips individually in parchment paper for storage, or store them in an airtight container.
Notes
Adjust the sugar to your taste; you can substitute it with honey or agave. Mix different Kool-Aid flavors for unique combinations.
