Description

A delightful recipe for homemade jelly-slime that’s perfect for kids and family bonding time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 packet (3 oz) of gelatin (any flavor)
  • 1 tsp food coloring (your choice)
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Make sure you have a clean surface, and gather all ingredients and tools.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In your mixing bowl, whisk together sugar, water, and a pinch of salt. Gradually sprinkle in the gelatin, continuously whisking. Let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Cook the Mixture: Transfer to a pot over medium heat. Stir until sugar and gelatin dissolve, then remove from heat when it begins to bubble.
  4. Add Color and Flavor: Stir in corn syrup, vanilla (if using), and food coloring. Mix until combined.
  5. Cool and Set: Pour into molds or a container, cool at room temperature for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours to set.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For vegan options, use agar-agar instead of gelatin.
