  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Wax paper (for storage)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Your Workspace: Clear a clean, flat surface for your gum-making and lay down parchment or wax paper to work on.
  2. Melt the Gum Base: In a small saucepan, combine the gum base and corn syrup. Heat over low heat, stirring until fully melted, and turn off the heat.
  3. Mix the Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the powdered sugar and melted gum base. Add water and mix until the dough starts to clump together.
  4. Knead the Gum: Transfer the mixture onto your work surface. Knead the gum for about 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Add flavoring oil and, if desired, a few drops of food coloring during kneading.
  5. Shape the Gum: Roll the gum into a ball or shape it into sticks. Cut it into smaller pieces if desired.
  6. Store Your Bubble Gum: Wrap each piece in wax paper to keep it fresh. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
