Description

An eco-friendly and engaging project to create a hanging birdbath using a plastic bottle, perfect for attracting birds to your garden.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 plastic bottle (12 liters)
  • Scissors or a craft knife
  • Twine or strong string
  • A shallow dish or plate (for the basin)
  • Heavy stones or marbles (for stability)
  • Paint or waterproof markers (optional for decoration)
  • Drill or sharp object (for making holes)

Instructions

  1. Clean and dry the plastic bottle thoroughly. Cut the bottle about 1/3 from the top to create two halves.
  2. In the bottom half, create small drainage holes with a drill or a sharp object.
  3. Place your shallow dish or plate upside down and position the bottom half of the bottle securely on top.
  4. Fill the bottom half with heavy stones or marbles for stability. Tie twine around the neck of the bottle to create a hanging loop.
  5. Choose a suitable outdoor location to hang your birdbath, ensuring it is secure.
  6. Fill the basin with fresh water and watch as birds come to drink.

Notes

Customize your birdbath with colors or decorations, and place it strategically to attract more birds.
