Delicious and colorful homemade gumdrops to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fruit juice (e.g., cranberry, grape, lemon)
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons gelatin
- Cornstarch (for dusting)
- Food coloring (red, blue, and white)
- Star-shaped or other festive molds
- Saucepan
- Whisk

Instructions
- Lightly dust your molds with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
- In a saucepan, combine the fruit juice and sprinkle the gelatin over it. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it blooms.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisk the mixture until the gelatin dissolves completely.
- Stir in the granulated sugar until fully dissolved. Separate the mixture into three bowls: add red food coloring to one bowl, blue to another, and leave the third white.
- Carefully pour each colored mixture into the prepared molds.
- Chill in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours or until the gumdrops are firm.
- Gently pop the gumdrops out of the molds and dust them with cornstarch to prevent sticking.
Notes
You can experiment with different fruit juices and natural colorings for healthier options.
