Description

A delightful DIY project to create beautiful and colorful heart-shaped suncatchers that brighten your space.

Ingredients

  • Clear school glue
  • Food coloring or liquid watercolor
  • Parchment paper or wax paper
  • Small heart-shaped cookie cutter (optional)
  • Paintbrush (optional)
  • Scissors (for cutting, if needed)

Instructions

  1. Gather all your materials in a well-lit area.
  2. Lay out a sheet of parchment or wax paper on a flat surface.
  3. In a small bowl, squeeze out some clear school glue.
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring or liquid watercolor to the glue and stir until well combined.
  5. If using a cookie cutter, place it on the parchment paper and fill it with the colored glue.
  6. For a freehand option, draw hearts directly on the parchment paper with the glue.
  7. For a marbled look, dab different colored glue onto the heart and swirl gently with the paintbrush.
  8. Allow the glue hearts to dry completely for 24-48 hours.
  9. Once dry, carefully peel them off the parchment paper.
  10. Use string or tape to hang the finished suncatchers in a sunny spot.

Notes

Consider adding glitter for extra sparkle or make layered suncatchers!
