Description

Create vibrant and luminescent glowing water beads for sensory play or decorative displays. Perfect for parties and enhancing ambiance!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of water beads
  • 2 cups of distilled water
  • 1 tablespoon of non-toxic glow-in-the-dark paint (or glow powder)
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking tray
  • A jar or vase for display

Instructions

  1. Soak the Beads: Place 1 cup of water beads in a large bowl, pour in 2 cups of distilled water, and soak for 6-8 hours or until fully expanded.
  2. Drain Excess Water: After soaking, drain out excess water, keeping the beads in the bowl.
  3. Mix the Glow: In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of glow-in-the-dark paint with a little water to create a smooth mixture.
  4. Combine: Gently stir the glow mixture into the soaked water beads until evenly coated.
  5. Spread on Baking Tray: Spread the glowing beads on a baking tray and air dry for about 1-2 hours.
  6. Charge Them Up: Expose the beads to light for at least 30 minutes before using them in dark settings.

Notes

For colored beads, use food coloring instead of glow paint. Add essential oils for scent. Supervise children while playing.
