Ingredients

  • Clear water beads
  • Neon or fluorescent food coloring
  • Water
  • UV light or black light (optional)
  • Bowls for soaking beads
  • Strainer (optional)

Instructions

  1. Measure your beads: For every tablespoon of water beads, use about 1 cup of water.
  2. Combine: Place the beads in a bowl and add the water.
  3. Let them soak: Allow the beads to expand for 4-6 hours or overnight for best results.
  4. Choose your colors: Add a few drops of neon or fluorescent food coloring to a separate bowl of water.
  5. Mix well: Stir the water until the coloring is evenly distributed.
  6. Combine: Drain excess water from the soaked beads and add them to the colored water for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Display: Once the beads have absorbed the color, spread them out in a bowl or clear container.
  8. Light it up: Shine a UV or black light on them to see the glowing effect.
