Description

An exciting DIY project that creates a stunning visual effect, perfect for kids and adults alike!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon dish soap
  • 1 tablespoon food coloring (preferably neon)
  • 1 tablespoon glow-in-the-dark paint or tonic water
  • Small container (such as a cup or bowl)
  • Tray to catch any spills
  • Safety goggles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Select a safe area that is easy to clean and place your small container in the center of the tray.
  2. Add baking soda to your small container.
  3. Mix in the dish soap to help create bubbly lava.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the food coloring with the glow-in-the-dark paint or tonic water.
  5. Pour the colored mixture into the baking soda container.
  6. Slowly add vinegar to enhance the eruption effect and stand back to enjoy the show!

Notes
