Description
A nostalgic Maple Pecan Pie that blends sweet maple syrup and crunchy pecans, perfect for autumn gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (9-inch) pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie pan, crimp the edges, and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
- Fold the pecan halves into the syrup mixture until evenly coated.
- Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly puffed, with a golden top.
- Allow the pie to cool for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the filling to firm up.
Notes
For nut allergies, swap pecans for walnuts or omit nuts for a creamy maple custard pie. Adjust sweetness by reducing brown sugar or add spices for more flavor.
