Description
Create whimsical glow-in-the-dark sensory bags that provide an engaging sensory experience for both kids and adults.
Ingredients
- Clear zip-top bags (quart or gallon size)
- Glow-in-the-dark paint or glow powder
- Cornstarch or clear school glue
- Water
- Small sensory items (e.g., beads, foam shapes, glitter)
- Food coloring (optional)
- Funnel or measuring cup
- Scissors
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine equal parts cornstarch (or glue) and water. Stir until smooth.
- If using food coloring, add a few drops to the mixture for extra color. Mix in glow-in-the-dark paint or powder.
- Use a funnel to pour the mixture into the zip-top bags, filling them halfway. Add chosen sensory items.
- Carefully squeeze out excess air and seal the bags tightly.
- Expose the bags to a strong light source for 30 minutes to activate the glow, then enjoy in the dark!
Notes
Supervise young children to prevent them from opening the bags and ingesting contents.
