Description

A delightful project that brings the calming beauty of the ocean into your home with a magical glow.

Ingredients

  • Clean glass jar (mason jar or any transparent container)
  • Glow-in-the-dark powder
  • Clear glue or water
  • Blue food coloring (optional)
  • Sand (fine or coarse)
  • Shells, pebbles, or small ocean-themed decorations (optional)
  • Water (if necessary)

Instructions

  1. Clean the jar to ensure it is free of dust or residues.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the glow-in-the-dark powder with clear glue or water according to the packaging instructions.
  3. If desired, add a few drops of blue food coloring to the mixture for ocean-like hues.
  4. Begin layering: add a layer of sand at the bottom to imitate the ocean floor.
  5. Add shells or pebbles for decoration.
  6. Pour in the glow-in-the-dark mixture, filling the jar about halfway.
  7. If using, add more sand and shells on top, leaving some space for air.
  8. Charge the glow by placing the jar in direct sunlight for several hours.
  9. Turn off the lights to see the beautiful glow once charged!

Notes

Experiment with different colored glow powders and decorate the outside of the jar for personalization.
