Description

Create exquisite, luminescent stones that mimic the glow of moon rocks using simple materials. Perfect for all ages and occasions!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup baking soda
  • 1/2 cup white glue
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Glow in the dark paint (in various colors)
  • A bowl for mixing
  • A cookie sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Optional: glitter for extra sparkle

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of white glue.
  2. Pour 1/4 cup of water into the mixture and stir until you achieve a smooth consistency.
  3. Gradually mix in 1/2 cup of cornstarch. Your mixture will begin to thicken.
  4. If desired, incorporate a pinch of glitter for shimmering effects.
  5. Use your hands to form small lumps imitating moon rocks—about the size of a marble.
  6. Place each shaped rock onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Use the glow in the dark paint to coat each rock.
  8. Allow the rocks to dry completely, ideally overnight.

Notes

Experiment with different colors of glow paint for unique looks, and consider adding essential oils for scented moon rocks.
