Description

A whimsical and interactive treat that glows in the dark, perfect for summer parties and Halloween festivities!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups of warm water
  • 2 cups of corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 12 drops of food coloring (neon or bright preferred)
  • 1/4 cup of tonic water (for the glow effect)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, stir together warm water and corn syrup until well mixed. Gradually add in sugar, stirring until it dissolves.
  2. Slowly sprinkle in cornstarch while whisking vigorously to avoid lumps. Mix until it forms a thick, somewhat gooey consistency.
  3. Add tonic water and 1-2 drops of your chosen food coloring. Stir until the color is well integrated.
  4. Using a hand mixer, beat the mixture on high speed for about 2-3 minutes until soft peaks form. The foam should hold shape but remain light and airy.
  5. Eitehr spoon the foam onto a large serving dish creating a pile or scoop into individual cups. Turn off the lights to reveal the mesmerizing glow!

Notes

Experiment with food coloring and flavored extracts for different variations. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
