Description
Create enchanting glow-in-the-dark fireflies using simple materials for a magical atmosphere.
Ingredients
- Clear plastic bottles (e.g., soda bottles)
- Glow-in-the-dark paint or glow sticks
- Battery-operated LED tea lights (optional)
- Black construction paper or cardstock
- Scissors
- Glue or tape
- Paintbrush (if using paint)
- Optional: glitter, decorative stickers
Instructions
- Clean and dry the plastic bottles.
- Cut the bottles into various shapes that mimic fireflies.
- If using glow-in-the-dark paint, apply it evenly inside the bottle with a brush.
- If using glow sticks, activate them and pour the contents inside the bottle, shaking gently.
- If painted, allow the bottles to dry thoroughly according to the paint instructions.
- Cut out wings from black construction paper or cardstock and glue them onto the bottles.
- Place a battery-operated LED tea light inside the bottle for an extra glow (if desired).
- Add glitter or decorative stickers to enhance the firefly look.
- Expose the finished fireflies to light to charge the glow-in-the-dark effect before displaying them.
