Ingredients
- Borax powder (1/2 cup)
- Water (2 cups)
- Clear container (glass or plastic)
- Pipe cleaners (in various colors)
- String (to hang your heart)
- Stirring tool (wooden stick or spoon)
- Glow-in-the-dark paint (optional)
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Pipe Cleaners: Shape the pipe cleaners into a heart or desired form. Twist and secure the ends ensuring a sturdy structure.
- Create the Solution: Boil water in a pot to ensure it’s hot (but not boiling). Mix in the borax (1/2 cup) until fully dissolved.
- Add Color: If desired, mix in a drop or two of food coloring for extra vibrancy.
- suspend the Heart: Tie the string around your pipe cleaner heart and suspend it in the container, ensuring it doesn’t touch the bottom.
- Let it Settle: Leave the container undisturbed for about 6-8 hours or overnight.
- Finish with Glow: Once ready, gently remove the heart from the solution and optionally paint it with glow-in-the-dark paint.
Notes
