- 1 cup water
- 1 cup gelatin
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon essential oil (your favorite scent)
- 1–2 tablespoons glitter (biodegradable or craft glitter)
- Jars or small containers for holding the gel
- Whisk or stirrer
- Measuring cups and spoons
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of water until it’s gently simmering. Gradually sprinkle in 1 cup of gelatin while continuously whisking to prevent clumps.
- Once the gelatin is fully dissolved, add 2 tablespoons of salt. Stir well; this acts as a preservative. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before adding 1 teaspoon of your chosen essential oil.
- Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of glitter, ensuring it’s evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Pour the mixture into your jars or small containers carefully. Leave some space at the top, as the gel will expand slightly.
- Allow the gel to cool and set completely, which may take several hours. Once set, place them in your desired areas.
