Ingredients

- 1/2 cup unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 cup salt
- 10–30 drops of essential oil or fragrance oil
- 1–2 tablespoons of non-toxic glitter
- Food coloring (optional)
- Containers (jars or silicone molds for shaping)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat 1 cup of water on low until warm (not boiling).
- Gradually sprinkle in 1/2 cup unflavored gelatin, whisking continuously until dissolved.
- Stir in 1/2 cup salt, which helps preserve the mixture.
- Add 10-30 drops of your chosen essential or fragrance oils and food coloring if desired.
- Mix in 1-2 tablespoons of glitter until evenly distributed.
- Carefully pour the mixture into your selected containers or molds.
- Allow the air fresheners to sit at room temperature until completely set (usually about 4-6 hours).
- Once set, place them in your desired locations and shake gently to release the scent.
Notes
For customizable scents, try blends like orange and clove or eucalyptus and mint. Use creative containers for unique shapes.
