Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons gelatin
- 1 to 2 tablespoons salt
- 1 teaspoon essential oil or fragrance oil
- Natural food coloring (optional)
- Small silicone molds or jars
- Stirring stick or spoon
- Medium saucepan
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, mix 1 cup of water with 2 tablespoons of gelatin. Stir until thoroughly combined.
- Place the saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until the mixture heats up but does not boil. The gelatin should fully dissolve.
- Once the mixture is clear, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of salt and your chosen essential oil (1 teaspoon is a good start). Optionally, add natural food coloring.
- Remove from heat. Carefully pour the mixture into small silicone molds or jars. Leave space at the top for expansion.
- Allow the gel air fresheners to cool at room temperature for several hours or until fully set.
- Once set, gently remove the ornaments from molds and place them around your home.
Notes
Customize scents and shapes for a personal touch. Consider using different essential oil combinations or adding dried flowers.
