Description

Delightful caramel-dipped apples adorned with galaxy colors and edible glitter, perfect for parties and creative fun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Edible food coloring (purple, blue, pink)
  • Edible glitter or star confetti
  • Lollipop sticks or wooden skewers
  • Wax paper or a baking sheet

Instructions

  1. Wash and thoroughly dry the apples to remove any wax or residue. Pat them dry with a towel.
  2. Push the lollipop sticks or skewers into the top of each apple, about halfway.
  3. In a large pot, mix sugar, corn syrup, and water over medium heat.
  4. Stir slowly until the mixture comes to a boil.
  5. Using a candy thermometer, cook until it reaches 240°F (soft ball stage).
  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  7. Quickly dip each apple into the hot caramel, ensuring it’s fully coated.
  8. Hold the apple upside down to let excess caramel drip off.
  9. Place the apples on wax paper or a baking sheet to set for about 10 minutes.
  10. Divide the cooled caramel into small bowls and add different colors of edible food coloring.
  11. Using a spoon, drizzle the colored caramel over each apple, allowing the colors to blend.
  12. While the caramel is still warm, sprinkle edible glitter or star confetti on top for a sparkling finish.

Notes

Experiment with different apple varieties, chocolate drizzle, nut toppings, and flavor infusions for unique candy apples.
