Description
A fun and educational project to create sparkling crystals resembling a galaxy using recycled eggshells.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6–12 cleaned and dried eggshells
- 1/2 cup white glue (school glue)
- Liquid food coloring (your choice of colors)
- 1 cup water
- A small bowl for mixing
- Baking tray or shallow dish
- Spoon
- Paper towel
Instructions
- Carefully rinse your eggshells and allow them to dry completely. Place them on a baking tray for easy access during the project.
- In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of water with 1/2 cup of white glue. Stir until fully blended, creating a smooth mixture.
- Divide the mixture into small cups and add different drops of liquid food coloring to each. Use a spoon to mix well, observing how the colors blend.
- Dip each eggshell carefully into the colored glue solution, ensuring it’s completely coated. Allow any excess glue to drip off and place the coated eggshells back on the baking tray.
- Leave the coated eggshells on the tray to dry completely (at least 24 hours). Observe the transformation as the glue dries and crystals begin to form.
Notes
Experiment with color combinations and shapes to personalize your galaxy crystals. Store finished crystals in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
