Description

Colorful and fun jelly balls made from fruit juice, perfect for parties or a light treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of fruit juice (like orange, apple, or berry)
  • 1/4 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of agar-agar powder
  • Silicone molds (preferably in fun shapes)
  • A whisk
  • A small saucepan
  • A measuring cup

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, mix the fruit juice, granulated sugar, and water.
  2. Stir the mixture over low heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Gradually sprinkle in the agar-agar while continuously whisking to avoid lumps.
  4. Raise the heat slightly to bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir for 2-3 minutes until the agar-agar is fully dissolved.
  5. Once dissolved, take the saucepan off the heat and let it cool slightly.
  6. Carefully pour the mixture into your silicone molds, filling them about three-quarters full.
  7. Refrigerate the filled molds for about 1-2 hours, or until the jelly balls are set.
  8. Gently push the jelly balls out of their molds and serve chilled.

Notes

Experiment with different fruit juices and add pieces of fruit for variety.
