Description
Create beautiful and colorful frozen ice ornaments using everyday materials. Perfect for winter decor and a fun craft for all ages!
Ingredients
- Water
- Small plastic or silicone molds
- Natural items (flowers, leaves, berries, etc.)
- String or ribbon (optional, for hanging)
- Freezer
Instructions
- Gather Your Materials: Collect all necessary materials including your molds and natural items. Choose vibrant items that will stand out against the ice.
- Prepare Your Molds: Fill your plastic or silicone molds with water, leaving a little space at the top for the water to expand as it freezes.
- Add Natural Items: Carefully place your chosen natural items into the water, arranging them artistically.
- Freeze the Ornaments: Place your filled molds in the freezer. Allow them to freeze completely, typically 4-6 hours or overnight for best results.
- Remove and Hang: Gently remove the ice ornaments from the molds. If using plastic molds, run warm water over the outside to help release the ice.
- Display Your Creations: Hang them on trees, bushes, or any area needing a splash of winter charm. Attach string before the water fully freezes if using.
Notes
Add food coloring for vibrant designs. Try different shapes using cookie cutters, and layer items for depth. Incorporate essential oils for a fragrant touch.
