Description

Create enchanting frozen bubbles that shimmer and sparkle in the winter sun, blending science and art in a delightful outdoor activity.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tablespoons of dish soap (preferably unscented)
  • 1 tablespoon of corn syrup or glycerin
  • Bubble wand or DIY bubble blower (straw or wire)
  • Freezing temperatures (below 32°F / 0°C)
  • Optional: Food dyes for colored bubbles

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of water with 2 tablespoons of dish soap and gently stir.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of corn syrup or glycerin and stir lightly.
  3. Pick up a bubble wand or make your own.
  4. Ensure the temperature is below 32°F (0°C).
  5. Dip your wand into the bubble solution and gently blow, watching the bubbles float.
  6. Observe how bubbles freeze mid-air or after landing and enjoy their beauty.

Notes

Experiment with different soaps or ratios for thicker bubbles. Avoid windy days to prevent popping.
