Description

A simple, non-toxic flour and water paste recipe perfect for arts and crafts, including papier-mâché and collages.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • Mixing bowl
  • Whisk or spoon
  • Measuring cup
  • Airtight container (for storage)

Instructions

  1. Measure out 1 cup of flour and 1 cup of water.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add the flour and gradually pour in the water to avoid lumps, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly for about 2-3 minutes until thickened; then let cool.
  4. If not using immediately, pour the paste into an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Notes

For a thicker paste, add an additional tablespoon of flour. You can also mix in food coloring or essential oils for customization.
