Description
An engaging and hands-on activity exploring density and buoyancy using dry erase markers.
Ingredients
- Clear container or tray (plastic or glass)
- Water
- Various colors of dry erase markers
- Toothpicks or skewer sticks
- Paper towels
Instructions
- Prepare your workspace by finding a flat, stable surface and laying down paper towels.
- Fill the container with water until it is about 3/4 full.
- Draw on the surface of the water using dry erase markers.
- Create movement by gently poking or swirling the designs with a toothpick or skewer stick.
- Make observations about how the colors float and interact in the water.
