Description

A fun and engaging art activity that merges science with creativity, utilizing baking soda and vinegar to create fizzy art.


Ingredients

  • Baking soda
  • White vinegar
  • Liquid food coloring (various colors)
  • Water
  • Small bowls or containers
  • Paintbrushes or droppers
  • Thick paper or canvas
  • Tray or surface to contain mess

Instructions

  1. Prepare your workspace by laying down newspaper or a plastic tablecloth and arranging your materials.
  2. In a bowl, combine 1 cup of baking soda with 1 cup of water and stir until dissolved to create a thick paste.
  3. Use a paintbrush to spread the baking soda mixture onto your paper or canvas.
  4. In separate bowls, mix 1 tablespoon of vinegar with a few drops of liquid food coloring.
  5. Use a dropper or paintbrush to apply the colored vinegar onto the baking soda and listen for the fizzing reaction!
  6. Continue adding different colors for more fizz and let your artwork dry completely.
