Create a magical glow-in-the-dark firefly jar that brightens up your space and makes a fantastic gift for all ages.
Ingredients
- Clear glass jar with a lid
- Glow-in-the-dark paint or glow sticks
- Thin paintbrush or small foam brush
- Supersized craft glitter (optional)
- Decorative elements (e.g., pebbles, flowers)
- Water (if using glow sticks)
Instructions
- Clean the glass jar thoroughly to remove any dust or fingerprints. Dry it completely before applying any materials.
- Using a thin brush, apply a coat of glow-in-the-dark paint to the inside of the jar. Ensure even coverage; the thicker the layer, the more it will glow! Allow paint to dry completely.
- If desired, sprinkle supersized glitter or small pebbles inside the jar for added texture. You can also add faux flowers for a more natural look.
- If opting for glow sticks, activate them as per instructions. Pour the contents inside the jar, allowing them to float at the top.
- Seal the jar with a lid or leave it open for a whimsical touch. Place your firefly jar in a well-lit area for 30 minutes to charge the glow.
