Description
Create enchanting glowing fireflies using simple materials, perfect for kids and adults alike. This craft sparks creativity while teaching about nature.
Ingredients
- Black construction paper
- Yellow or green tissue paper (or LED tea lights)
- Glow-in-the-dark paint or markers
- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Wire or pipe cleaners
- Googly eyes (optional)
- Decorative items (glitter, sequins, etc.)
Instructions
- Cut out an oval shape from the black construction paper for the body (4-5 inches long).
- Cut two larger wing shapes from the black construction paper.
- Glue the wings onto either side of the body and add googly eyes.
- For glow, glue tissue paper on the back, or use a small LED tea light or glow-in-the-dark paint.
- Create antennae with wire or pipe cleaners and attach them to the body.
- Add a hanger to display your fireflies around your home.
