Ingredients
- Empty plastic bottles (any size)
- LED tea light candles (optional for lighting)
- Acrylic or spray paint
- Paintbrushes (if using regular paint)
- Wire or pipe cleaners (for antennae)
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- Decorative stickers or glitter (optional)
- Electric drill or sharp object (for making holes)
Instructions
- Prepare the Bottles: Clean and dry your plastic bottles thoroughly. Remove any labels to ensure a smooth surface for painting.
- Paint the Bottles: Use acrylic or spray paint to coat the outside of each bottle in vibrant colors. Allow the paint to dry completely.
- Create the Features: Cut two small holes near the top of the bottle for antennae. Use wire or pipe cleaners to create cute antennae, twisting them into shape and inserting them into the holes.
- Add a Glow (Optional): Place an LED tea light inside the bottle for illuminated fireflies. Ensure the bottom of the bottle is stable.
- Final Touches: Add decorative stickers, glitter, or further embellishments to enhance the look; feel free to get creative with designs.
Notes
