Ingredients
- Film canister (with a tightly sealing lid)
- Alka-Seltzer tablets
- Water
- Safety goggles (for eye protection)
- Paper towels (optional for cleanup)
- Outdoor space (clear area for launching)
Instructions
- Prepare Your Launch Area: Choose an outdoor space free of obstructions and wear safety goggles.
- Add Water: Fill the film canister about one-third full with water.
- Insert Alka-Seltzer: Break an Alka-Seltzer tablet into smaller pieces (optional) and quickly drop it into the canister, then tightly snap the lid.
- Launch!: Turn the canister upside down and place it on the ground, then step back and watch the launch.
- Observe and Celebrate: Take note of the launch height and time, and celebrate your experiment!
