Description

A fun and educational DIY activity that simulates a volcanic eruption while playing with slime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup white school glue
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 cup liquid starch
  • Food coloring (red, orange, or any preferred color)
  • Small container for mixing
  • Measuring cups
  • Mixing spoon
  • Tray or surface to control the mess

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of white school glue and 1 cup of water. Mix thoroughly until blended.
  2. Stir in 1 teaspoon of baking soda to help the slime hold its shape.
  3. Add a few drops of your chosen food coloring and mix until the color is uniform.
  4. Slowly add 1 cup of liquid starch to the mixture, stirring continuously until it starts to clump together.
  5. Once it forms a gooey mass, take it out and knead it with your hands until smooth.
  6. Pour a little vinegar over your DIY volcano slime to create an exciting eruption!

Notes

For variations, try layering different colors or adding scent with essential oils. Store slime in an airtight container to prolong its life.
