Description

A fun and interactive science experiment that creates a dazzling lemon eruption, perfect for children and families.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium-sized lemons
  • 1/4 cup baking soda
  • 1/4 cup dish soap
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • Small cup or container
  • Plate or tray
  • Spoon

Instructions

  1. Cut the tops off the lemons to create a bowl-like shape.
  2. Scoop out some of the pulp with a spoon.
  3. Mix the baking soda and dish soap in a small cup.
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring, if desired.
  5. Place the lemons on a plate or tray.
  6. Spoon the baking soda mixture into the hollowed-out lemons.
  7. Pour the vinegar into the lemon and enjoy the eruption!
